Our story

A return to Kashmir

Kenan grew up in Kashmir until his early 20s. Returning recently to his native landscape after 21 years away, he fell in love again with these local crafts — and started Gandharva Arts to share their story and support the artisans who keep them alive.

Namdas are 100% sheep wool, felted entirely by hand — no loom, no machine. Every piece passes through several artisans' hands over one to four weeks, from raw wool to final embroidered stitch.
